To be modern and aware is to think about sustainability, to have a sustainable attitude about shopping and consumption.
Mindful shopping is the new black. Mindfulness brings awareness to what you are doing, and with that clarity comes the possibility of choice.
You always have a choice.
A SUSTAINABLE CONCEPT
IDEA FOR THE COLLECTION
My inspiration comes from discussions, media, and my surroundings. I am committed to staying informed and updated on sustainable concepts from art, culture, and fashion, with a strong interest in global research. I am continually working to grow my awareness and increasing my knowledge in order to choose the most sustainable materials from three primary perspectives: social, economic, and environmental.
DESIGN & MATERIALS
KWOSHARE brings a commitment to sustainability which, is reflected in our materials, colours, and design. In addition to timeless and universal design, a cornerstone of this philosophy is to consciously choose sustainable materials. As much of the material as possible is environmentally natural, leaving the smallest possible footprint on nature. I avoid blended materials when possible, and when not, ensure the synthetic material can be recycled. My goal is for all pieces in the collection to be made from natural materials. This allows me to create a collection that can be enjoyed in all areas of a woman's life, no matter her body type, age, or skin tone. I want my designs to present a sustainable feeling, consciously designing clean lines and classic shapes, avoiding trends that don’t flatter the bodies of real women. Fewer details and streamlined materials equal greater production efficiency.
The design philosophy is to avoid details made of metals and plastics in favor of a 100% recyclable product.
IT'S ALL ABOUT PURENESS
STYLE WITH SUBSTANCE
The packing used to bring my collection to you is minimized as much as possible and made of recyclable materials - which of course can later be recycled.
All printed materials (business cards, envelopes, marketing materials) are kept to a minimum and are made of recyclable materials.
PRODUCTION OF PROTOTYPE
The first sewn samples are made in my home country of Sweden to reduce unnecessary transport.
The vision is to not ever use poisonous dyes that are harmful to the environment or people.
I am committed to produce as locally as possible and employ socially responsible business practices. The collection is produced by adult employees in acceptable working conditions, with agreements and acceptable pay based on local markets. Production is streamlined to avoid repetitive strains and unnecessary physical stresses; we avoid unnecessary details such as zippers, padding, and buttons. The production is integrated into the design process to be as energy conscious as possible.
